The Process of Ralph's character development in William Golding Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies is the first famous novel of William Golding. Lord of the
Flies is an amazing story which tells about human weaknesses, namely Ralph. Ralph
as the main male character of the story is influenced by some factors when he stays
on the isolated island and makes him develops in his character. Therefore, the thesis
writer wants to know what makes him develop and how does he develop whether
there are factors that make him develop.
In analyzing the process of Ralph?s character changes into develop, the thesis writer
uses some literary approaches namely; characterization, conflict and also setting. The
thesis writer finds out that there are factors that influence the main character?s
development, they are his friendship with Piggy, his rivalry with Jack, and the
environment.
